  Lovely atmosphere, very laid back

  We had a deal some of the younger members of staff did not know about , thankfully one did, and the boys in charge was very professional and friendly.

  One to try!

  Really nice bistro/bar, great service, nice food and fun atmosphere with the prominent cocktail bar as its feature. Slightly quiet when we went but was soon very busy with lots of people coming in for drinks and nibbles which we then stayed on to have some cocktails and as it was my partners birthday the bar staff surprised us with a free cocktail and cupcake - nice end to the evening! Will definitely go back either to dine or to go for drinks.

Contemporary Scottish restaurant on the Royal Mile

The sleek city centre restaurant has a casual ambience and specialises in traditional Scottish dishes as well as other bar food favourites. Close to attractions such as Edinburgh Castle, St. Giles Cathedral and the Museum of Childhood, Itchycoo Bar & Kitchen is the ideal venue for sightseers looking for a light lunch or friends and family enjoying a drink or evening meal. Wheelchair accessible, children under 14 years of age dining in the restaurant must be served in the lounge area of the restaurant and are not permitted in the bar.

Quality food in a comfortable setting

The chefs at Itchycoo Bar & Kitchen serve up a host of Scottish favourites such as battered North Sea haddock with chips and tartare sauce; Shetland salmon with wild garlic mash and greens and the braised lamb shank with roast potatoes.

Some items from further afield also appear on the restaurant’s menu like the crispy calamari with aioli, chargrilled vegetables with cured meats and the falafel and spinach burger with Swiss cheese and chips.
