  service a little slow initially - took at least 5 mins waiting at the counter before we were seated or acknowledged. After that hiccup the service improved although a little slow - probably due to having only 2 staff that seemed to be working. There was a manager - I think - but just saw him floating around and no work being done. Food was generally good but was disappointed with the roast beef - hoping for it pink but it was well done - guess at 9.30pm it had been under the heat lamp for a while. Yorkshire puddings were the strangest looking I'd ever seen - hadn't risen at all and looked more like hard cornbread. So limited menu on 5pm but what we had - starters and pudding and partner's main were good - just don't order the Roast Beef! Had to ask for Horseradish Sauce to take the dryness off. Carmelised Banana was surprisingly good. Balance of set menu was a bit off though - to have cheese in starter, main and dessert did limit options. Would have like to have seen fish as a main course.
