Bus Routes

Hop-On Hop-Off London - Red Route

Our red Route covers London’s most famous sights, taking in the West End, the Southbank and the City. It’s definitely the classic London route.

  • The Tower of London: On our tour, you’ll get to see the Tower from both side of the river and from over the river itself as you cross Tower Bridge. The Tower of London has dominated the banks of the this stretch of the Thames for a thousand years. It’s home to the famous Beefeaters and the ravens that can never leave for fear of England falling!
  • Big Ben: No visit to London is complete without seeing Big Ben! You’ll get brilliant views of this stunning clock tower as you approach along the bank of the river. You’ve probably heard that the name Big Ben should strictly only refer to the big bell at the top of the tower. What you might not know is that this bell is not really called Big Ben at all. It’s official name is the Great Bell!
  • Tower Bridge: Is this the world’s most famous bridge? We think it might be! You don’t only get to see Tower Bridge on our tour, you also get to drive over it! One of our favourite things to do is to hop off at the Tower of London, walk back over the bridge and hop on again the other side!
  • Westminster Abbey: More than just a church, Westminster Abbey is where the kings and queens of England are crowned! So, as you can imagine, it’s a pretty impressive place! It’s also where loads of British royals are buried, as well as famous people from British history such as Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin and Laurence Olivier.
  • Trafalgar Square: Home to the iconic Nelson’s Column, Trafalgar Square is one of the most London of London places. No trip to the city is complete without getting some photos here.

Hop-On Hop-Off London - Blue Route

Our blue route heads west to Knightsbridge and Kensington, home to expensive shops and amazing museums. It’s a great route for kids because they’ll love the museums and there’s even a special interactive kids’ commentary.

  • Knightsbridge: If you’re in the mood for a spot of posh shopping, there’s nowhere better to head than Knightsbridge, home to the world-famous Harrods! This enormous department store can reputedly get you whatever it is that you want.
  • Victoria And Albert Museum: The V & A is one of London’s best-loved museums. It’s the world’s largest museum dedicated to decorative arts and design. There’s always something fascinating to see here.
  • Queen Elizabeth Gate, Hyde Park: Queen Elizabeth Gate is a memorial to the late Queen Mother. It’s the perfect place to hop off for a picnic in beautiful Hyde Park or if you want to take a stroll along through Green Park to see the front gates of Buckingham Palace.
  • Natural History and Science Museums: These two are absolutely compulsory if you’re travelling with kids! From dinosaurs to space rockets, they’ve been entertaining and educating children since before we can remember.

Hop-On Hop-Off London - Green Route:

Our Green Route is the perfect way to get from some of London’s main train stations to our red and blue routes. Waterloo, St Pancras and King’s Cross are all stops on the Green Route. So, if you’re arriving in the city on the train, you know what to do!

  • St Pancras and King’s Cross: St Pancras and Kings Cross are two of London’s most famous train stations, but they’re both worth a visit in their own right.
  • The London Eye: Our hop-on hop-off bus might be the best way to see London, but combine it with The London Eye and you’re guaranteed the very best views in the city, be they from our top deck or from 100+ metres above the Thames. Check out our money-saving Bus + London Eye package and you’ll see what we mean!
  • British Museum: The British Museum is absolutely unmissable! Despite its name, it’s not all about Britain. Instead, it’s one of the world’s biggest collections of artefacts from some of history’s most important cultures. There’s everything from Egyptian mummies to the Rosetta Stone.

Why is our London hop-on hop-off bus brilliant for families?

The kids will love seeing London from the top deck of the bus. It makes so much more sense than getting the Tube and being crammed into hot, sweaty carriages!

On our Blue Route, kids get their own commentary and a free “London Quest” booklet! Your mini detectives will join Mia Cloo to explore London, taking part in quizzes, solving puzzles and completing the quest as they learn all about London!

From the top deck of our bus, you’ll see all London’s history. Both past and the history that’s being made today. In a city whose story is told on its streets, there’s no better way to travel. Our hop-on hop-off ticket really is the most flexible, practical way to discover London.
