Clean, fresh air; the sound of lapping water and the grandeur of the surrounding mountains – a Loch Lomond break is a tonic for the soul.
Drink in the relaxation with today’s Big Deal at the family-run Ardlui Hotel by the banks of Loch Lomond.
The Ardlui Hotel lies in the ancient heart of Scotland among the breathtaking scenery of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the oldest and most spectacular of the country’s national parks.
A small, intimate hotel, the Ardlui captures the calming essence of Loch Lomond with its easy-going and homely atmosphere.
Just over a one hour drive from Glasgow, The Ardlui Hotel is also very convenient for a short break away from it all.
Welcome dram of 18-year-old Auchentoshan
Available seven days a week, the Big Deal is for two people to enjoy a stay in a double or twin room on a bed and breakfast basis.
Hospitality is key to the Ardlui and all Big Deal guests will be greeted with shortbread, homemade tablet and a rather special welcome dram of eighteen-year-old Auchentoshan Single Malt on arrival.
Option 1 is for 2 people for 1 night B&B. Option 2 is for two consecutive nights on a B&B basis.
Guests may upgrade to superior room for an additional £15 per night.
There is a supplement of £15 per room, per night for Friday and Saturday night stays.
Scottish country house
The Ardlui has ten en-suite bedrooms all with central heating and Sky TV. The hotel’s welcoming restaurant and lounge bar look over the northern shores of Loch Lomond as do some of the bedrooms.
The restaurant is the perfect retreat after a day’s activities around the loch. The kitchen sources as many ingredients as possible locally, with Loch Duart salmon and Argyll venison often on the menu.
The hotel’s two cosy bars are an inviting way to spend a relaxing evening. The Lomond Bar has an authentic wood-burning stove, a pool table, jukebox and Sky Sports for those all important matches. The quieter lounge bar has an elegant feel with mood lighting, comfy seating and an extensive whisky menu.
The Ardlui knows how to make its guests happy. This is what a regular visitor had to say on TripAdvisor recently:
‘Fantastic family-run hotel. I’ve stayed here a lot since June 2013 and wouldn’t go anywhere else in the area. The staff are always friendly but not intrusive in any way. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. The hotel is consistently clean which is something I’m fussy about. I have stayed in several of the rooms which are all very comfortable and the single room has a great shower. The food is good and the portions are generous. The public bar has an open fire and pool table and is very cosy. The views are fabulous over the loch and different every day. I will definitely return to this hotel.’
Loch Lomond walks, open fires and malt whisky are all great ingredients for a refreshing getaway. Book your break with today’s Big Deal at The Ardlui.
