Itching to get back on the golf course?
Get your season off to a splendid start with today’s Big Deal on two golf experiences at The Carrick at Cameron House.
Both options are available seven days a week.
Option one is for two people to each hit fifty balls on the splendid driving range at The Carrick at Cameron House followed by one of their sumptuous burgers and a drink in the Claret Jug Restaurant and Bar.
Option two is for two people to play the eighteen holes of The Carrick on Loch Lomond and a one course lunch at the Claret Jug Restaurant and Bar. One sleeve of golf balls is included per player.
Club hire included
Part of the luxurious Cameron House on Loch Lomond, the driving range at The Carrick course is rather special.
After all, how many other practice ranges do you know which have their own feature lagoon hole?
It will be perfect for anyone who wants to work on their swing but equally as enjoyable for those who relish the simple pleasure of hefting their big hitter and seeing just how far they can belt their ball.
Of course, you can bring your own clubs or, as part of the deal, club hire is included.
The Carrick on Loch Lomond is the 71-par course designed by the acclaimed golf course designer Doug Carrick.
Straddling the fault lines between the Scottish Lowlands and Highlands, this stunning course uses every inch of the dramatic landscape.
Nine holes stick to classic Scottish Lowland terrain along the banks of Loch Lomond, while the other nine make you climb to tackle Highland heath and tee off on sloping fairways.
The Claret Jug
All that hard work, fresh air and those breathtaking views will almost certainly leave you peckish which is where the second part of today’s Big Deal comes in.
The burger and fries at the Claret Jug Restaurant and Bar have almost become legends in their own tee-off times.
Why? Perhaps it’s because they are cooked on a special Josper grill which gives them a deep savoury flavour. Perhaps it’s because they are made with the finest Scotch beef and topped with tangy, melting cheese and Ayrshire bacon. Or maybe it’s because they come with crunchy, crispy fries?
Whatever the secret of their success is, you and your golfing partner will each enjoy a delicious Claret Jug burger washed down with an ice cold pint of lager or a glass of wine. Naturally, you can swap the beer or wine for a soft drink, if you prefer. Food is available until 4.30pm.
If you have gone for option two, then you can look forward to one course each from the high tea menu, also available until 4.30pm.
Exact dishes available will depend as the menu changes daily but popular choices include the mac ‘n’ cheese made with Mull cheddar.
The Claret Jug has plenty of admirers on TripAdvisor:
‘Outstanding food and service. This is a secluded place to go for fantastic food. Very friendly staff who did their utmost for you. Great location.’
‘Chilled day out on Loch Lomond… Lunch was superb as usual but I have to say our service was top notch. You are made to feel so welcome in very serene surroundings, just what you need when you want to get away from the “madding crowd”.’
This Big Deal will make for a truly memorable day of golf.
You could use it as a spectacular birthday present for the golfer in your life.
Alternatively, you could just buy a voucher and treat yourself to a great day out with a friend.
