Looking out over the marina, the New England style Boathouse is the perfect setting for seafood, wood-fired pizza or paella.

In The Claret Jug, popular dishes include the Schiehallion beer-battered haddock and The Claret Jug Angus beef burger which is served with onion relish, melting cheddar, grilled bacon, French fries and onion rings.

‘Luxury break. We celebrated my husband’s 30th birthday here and it was definitely worth it… lovely gardens. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was perfect – huge comfortable bed, lovely spacious bathroom with white fluffy robes as well as special little touches… Cocktails in the Great Scots Bar were lovely and not as highly priced as expected. Breakfast was fantastic… This is definitely the best hotel breakfast that I have come across. The views and location of the hotel are stunning and I would recommend the hotel to anyone. I will definitely stay here again for a special occasion!’
