Join us for today’s Big Deal in the elegant surroundings of The Grange Manor, near Grangemouth in Stirlingshire.
Grange Manor was built in the late 19th century as a substantial residence for the estate factor of the Earl of Zetland. The building retains its country house charm, with plenty of original features and beautiful landscaped gardens.
The hotel has developed a reputation for its traditional and savoury afternoon teas, served daily from noon to 4pm. It’s the perfect place for a relaxed catch-up with friends or family, where the conversation can flow as the tea pours.
Tea for two
Available Monday to Friday from noon to 4pm, option one of the Big Deal is for two people to enjoy traditional afternoon tea at the recently opened Rosie’s Tea Room in The Grange Manor.
Option two is for a savoury afternoon tea, adding the likes of haggis bonbons and sausage rolls into the mix – something a bit different!
Options three and four add a glass of fizz each in the mix of the first two options.
Served in classic style on a three tier stand, afternoon tea features a range of sandwiches; freshly baked scones with strawberry preserve and cream; cakes and pastries plus freshly brewed tea and coffee.
Option five, available from 4pm to 7pm between Sunday and Thursday, is for high tea for two. The more hearty cousin of afternoon tea, high tea at Grange Manor means scones, brownies and shortbread followed by a main course.
The selection in Rosie’s Tea Room changes regularly but typical dishes might be the slow-cooked tender Scotch beef; the beer-battered fish and chips or the rigatoni, made with mature cheddar cheese sauce, parsley crumb, and garlic bread.
Of course, high tea also includes bread and butter plus freshly brewed tea and coffee.
The Grange Manor has plenty of loyal fans of its afternoon teas. Recent TripAdvisor comments from guests include the following, edited for length:

This Big Deal afternoon tea at Grange Manor offers the perfect chance to enjoy a civilised afternoon’s chat in elegant surroundings, with sandwiches, scones and tea in plentiful supply.
Twist it up with some savoury treats, and go one step further with a glass of fizz each.
With the Kelpies on the hotel’s doorstep, it’s the ideal option for a relaxed day out in Central Scotland.
Valid until the end of June 2018, this offer would also make a thoughtful present, should you know anyone who would appreciate a little treat.
