Culcreuch Castle Hotel is one of Scotland’s oldest hotels with the main hotel building dating from the 14th century.

Located near Stirling in Central Scotland, it overlooks its own private loch and is set in the beautiful, 1600 acre Culcreuch Estate.

Under an hour from Glasgow and less than 90 minutes from Edinburgh, it is also very easy to reach.

Romantic break

Today, Culcreuch Castle Hotel retains all the romance and charm that its heritage entitles it to, yet it has also been sensitively upgraded to offer an excellent standard of comfort and luxury accommodation.

Available Thursday to Monday, this brilliant offer is for two people to have an overnight break in a standard room at Culcreuch Castle Hotel with a hearty Scottish breakfast and a two course dinner.

All the rooms are en-suite, with Free Sat TV, internet access and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities.

Most command quite unsurpassed views over the lawns, loch, woodlands of the estate and beyond to a kaleidoscope of hills and forests comprising the Endrick Valley and the Campsie Fells.

Depending on availability, guests may be able to upgrade to a Deluxe room with four poster bed for a supplement of £20 per room per night.

Scottish produce

Breakfast is served in the Laird’s Hall. This offer also includes a two course dinner – starter and main – in the Dungeon Diner, part of the original castle tower.

Locally sourced ingredients take pride of place on the menu in the Dungeon Diner. The menu changes regularly but typical starters might be the West Coast fish cake with Thai mayo or the Heritage beetroots with orange blossom, goat’s curd and Marcona almonds.

Popular main courses include the Scotch lamb, mint and red chilli burger or Scrabster hake with girolles, cavolo nero and roasted cauliflower purée.
