Mirror, signal, manoeuvre will probably get you down the shops and back again without a prang.
It’s less useful if your route involves deep ruts, deeper water hazards and mud troughs.

Watch out – each track is trickier than the last.
Each driver will enjoy approximately 20 minutes behind the wheel of one of their Off Road Prepared vehicles. This session is shared with up to four other drivers and, depending on group size, can last up to two hours.
Option one is for one person (£29), and option two is for two people (£55).
There is the chance to upgrade to have a one-to-one session with the instructor, who will guide you over the challenges of longer trails and more technical terrain.
Adventure 4×4 gives 20 minutes extra driving time and is £40 per person extra, and Extreme Adventure 4×4 gives 30 minutes extra driving time and the chance to use the winch for vehicle recovery, which is £50 per person extra. This is paid directly to Action Adventure Activities at time of booking.

Lots of visitors have been keen to tell TripAdvisor of their experiences with Action Adventure Activities:
‘Great day out.!! Went for the 4×4 driving with a group of friends. We arrived and our instructor Dave introduced himself before taking us round the course in the car. He carefully explained each section of the course before letting each of us have a turn. The course was great and was a type of driving I had never done before! Dave was calm and explained everything very carefully in a cheery manner and was very knowledgeable when answering our questions . It was a great day out for all of us, will definitely be back!
This is from the company’s Facebook page:
‘Had a great day out here doing 4×4 driving… Kenny and Dave who led me and my girlfriend for the 4×4 driving were friendly and knowledgeable about the cars and how to manage them. Even though I managed to beach the Land Rover near the end, Kenny stayed calm and professional and rescued the car (and us)! Was very weird leaning very sideways in a car and not tipping over but good fun!’
Get off the sofa, buckle up and get behind the wheel.
This Big Deal with Action Adventure Activities would pep up a stag or hen day; it would be brilliant with a group of friends and it would make a fantastic gift for a car enthusiast.
