A proud winner of Channel 4’s ‘Four in a Bed’ series, The Waverley Hotel is a recently refurbished, traditional Scottish inn. Guests can unwind in fully ensuite rooms with cheerful splashes of tartan, flat screen TVs, free WiFi and hospitality trays.

This one or two night stay is available seven days a week and is for two people to share a standard twin or double room.

There will be a bottle of Prosecco waiting on arrival and the breakfast selection includes continental and cooked full Scottish options.

On the first night of the stay, there is also the option to add a two course dinner from a set menu.

Please note that there will be a supplement of £15 per night for Fridays and Saturday stays. Supplements also apply if you wish to bring along up to two kids or two dogs.

The restaurant at The Waverley prides itself on serving Scottish pub food favourites.

With this offer, you have the option to enjoy a two course meal from a set menu on your first night.

Menus can be updated seasonally, but may look a lot like the following:

Grilled haggis and black pudding with petit salad and French dressing

Homemade trio of smoked fish terrine with herb mayonnaise and oatcakes

Avocado, tomato and mozzarella salad with pesto and balsamic glaze

Mains

Pan-fried salmon fillet with crushed new potatoes and lemon butter sauce

Chef’s own lasagne with garlic bread and dressed salad

Roast chicken fillet with mushrooms and parmesan risotto

Vegetarian, vegan and wheat/gluten-free options are also available – please arrange with the hotel at the time of booking. Steak options, if available, carry an £8 supplement.

Pretty Callander is the gateway to the Highlands, ideal if you want to immerse yourself in Scotland’s rugged beauty without having to travel too far. It is the ideal base for exploring Loch Lomond & The Trossachs, Rob Roy’s Grave or Doune Castle.

There are plenty of attractions in the town as well, including Callander Golf Course and the fascinating Hamilton Toy Collection. The beautiful Bracklinn Falls are well worth seeing and only a 20-minute walk from the hotel.
