Skeabost was originally built as a hunting lodge in the 19th century and is located in beautiful private grounds on the edge of Loch Snizort.

A seven minute drive from Portree, the island’s capital, The Skeabost is perfectly placed for leisurely drives all around the island and day trips to several other islands off the coast.

Now under new ownership, the premises have been lovingly restored and beautifully refurbished to compliment the hotel’s fabulous traditional features and oak panelling.  

The renovation has artistically blended original features with contemporary furniture and fabrics, including tweeds in eye-catching colours. The result is an enchanting ambience which oozes luxury, style and Victorian grandeur.

Island break

‘Great hotel, lovely location, beautiful room with a view. Skeabost was my husband’s favourite hotel on our trip… The room was spacious and the bathroom was huge! Well appointed and the bed was ultra comfy. We stayed in the adjoining Pier Rooms with water views. Our meals were spectacular. Dinner was first class and delicious. There were some very interesting historic sites within walking distance. We would definitely return…’
