We’re not going to argue that love makes the world go around.
We’d just like to mention that luxury makes it go around that little bit faster.
And if you’re overdue some well-deserved indulgence, then might we suggest this Big Deal for an ultra deluxe afternoon tea at the spectacular Gleddoch resort?
It would make a fantastic gift for a loved one, plus you can add on Champagne or gin infusions for extra fun…
There is afternoon tea… and then there is an ultra deluxe afternoon tea perched on the sparkling Firth of Clyde.
The setting will be the Gleddoch Hotel, Spa & Golf resort in Langbank village, just 30 minutes from Glasgow.
Your springtime treat will be served in the hotel’s chic Camellia Lounge. You can enjoy freshly made seasonal delights whipped up by expert chefs while gazing out over the manicured gardens (gosh).
If you’re looking for a truly extravagant day out, then you’ve found it.
This Big Deal for an ultra deluxe afternoon tea is available until the end of September and has three options. Option one is for the classic Camellia afternoon tea for two. Option two adds on a glass of Champagne each.
Option three is for the Whitley Neill gin-infused afternoon tea for two.
Vegetarian and gluten-free choices can be arranged in advance.
Camellia afternoon tea
The Gleddoch’s decadent Camellia afternoon tea really is an experience to remember.
It includes a selection of finely cut sandwiches, savoury treats, freshly baked granary scones with clotted cream & preserves, plus a mouthwatering range of exquisitely presented patisserie. As well as a choice of tea or coffee, you can also add on Champagne for extra ritz.
Savoury choices might feature smoked mackerel mousse & charcoal cracker; Ayrshire pork & Pommery mustard filled sausage rolls, and pastrami beef & horseradish on Louise’s seeded soda bread.
The patisserie could include a lemon & blackberry shot; chocolate & blood orange opera cake, and mini butterscotch tarts.
Whitley Neill afternoon tea
This choice is extra indulgent, as the fine patisserie will be infused with Whitley Neill flavoured gin.
Essentially, you will get much of the same selection as above, just with a zingy gin edge.
This TripAdvisor user gave their Gleddoch afternoon tea a five star score:
‘I recently visited Gleddoch Hotel, Spa & Golf with friends and family for an afternoon tea. This was served in the lovely new Camillia afternoon tea lounge, overlooking the lovely gardens with stunning views of the Clyde Estuary. The food was lovely, beautiful scones — and the staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.’ 5/5
