Nation’s favourite dish
Chicken tikka masala is made with chicken which is marinated in spices and yogurt before being baked in a tandoor oven and served in a thick, spice mix masala or sauce.
This class will teach students how to make what is almost certainly the nation’s most popular Indian dish,
Besides teaching the perfect chicken tikka masala preparation, this three-hour class teaches participants all about the methods and skills involved in making other restaurant-standard Indian dishes including popadoms, spiced onions, raita, fish pakora, pilau rice and chapati.
All equipment as well as snacks and refreshments are provided for the class.
Available seven days a week, each class lasts approximately three to three and a half hours and will give pupils a step-by-step guide to making a complete Indian meal with chicken tikka masala as the centre piece.
The school’s masterchef will talk students through each dish before you give it a go at your work station.
At the end of the class, students will be provided with takeaway containers for the dishes made on the day.
Each pupil will be given recipes as they leave so the next time that you feel the urge for a Ruby, you can rustle one up at home.

‘This was a works night out, kindly arranged by one of our suppliers… turned out to be a fantastic experience. Not only did we have a great time learning about Indian cooking, we enjoyed a meal together at the end of the class, tasting our own efforts, which thanks to the staff, turned out to be pretty decent. Great idea for a group of friends.’
