Swim, sauna and sparkling wine

Today’s Big Deal gives you and a special person (best friend, amour, mum) a chance to relax for the day at the newly launched Aura Health Spa. As mentioned, it’s based in the Bowfield Hotel and Country Club in Renfrewshire, only a twenty minute drive from Glasgow.

On arrival, you will both be given complimentary robes, slippers and towels, so that’s one less thing to think about.

You can start your escape day by drifting around the sixteen metre pool, before enjoying some jacuzzi, steam room and sauna time (bonus – the sauna has big windows with countryside views).

By this time you will both be feeling peckish, so you can refresh under the monsoon showers, then sashay over to the Aura spa café for afternoon tea. You will get a glass of bubbly each, plus a pot of tea or coffee, various finger sandwiches and freshly baked scones. Delicious!

You will also have full access to the leisure club, meaning you can try out the Star Trac Equipment and Spin Studio for a bit of a fitness burst.

The spa also includes relaxation rooms and a treatment area. It is available every day from 10am to 6pm (7pm on Thursdays).
