Il Posto is the popular Italian restaurant at the luxurious Mar Hall Resort.
In English, it means The Place.

A luxury, five-star, golf and spa resort, Mar Hall is located within a tranquil 240 acre woodland estate.

Just fifteen minutes from Glasgow, it has played host to everybody from Beyoncé to One Direction.

Italian dishes

We can’t promise that you will have a table next to a bona fide pop star but we’re certain that you will have a meal to remember at Il Posto.

Il Posto’s authentic Italian cuisine is characterized by its simplicity. Many dishes have only four to eight ingredients but the quality of each one shines through and makes every dish sing.

Two courses

Available Thursday to Sunday, from noon to 4.30pm, this splendid offer is for two people to enjoy two courses (starter and main course or main course and dessert) at Il Posto.

Starters

Minestrone Il Posto – A hearty bowl of traditional Italian soup (V)

Pette di Pollo – Chicken liver pâté served with oat cakes & red onion chutney

Prosciutto di Parma e Melone – Fresh melon draped with thinly sliced Parma ham

Bruschetta con Pomodoro – Vine-ripe cherry tomatoes, marinated in fresh basil garlic & extra virgin olive oil, served on toasted bread (V)

Insalata Caprese – Tomato, mozzarella & basil salad. Drizzled with extra virgin olive oil (V)

Main courses

Penne Amatriciana – Al dente pasta with sautéed onion, garlic, crispy pancetta & basil, cooked in a spicy tomato sauce

Ravioli con Fungi – Handmade, filled with mushroom & cheese in a light mushroom sauce

Lasagne al Forno – Layers of fresh egg pasta in a beef ragu, topped with Béchamel sauce

Ravioli con Spinaci e Ricotta – Handmade ravioli with spinach & ricotta (V)

Pizza Salsiccia Picante – Crumbled spicy Italian sausage & red onion

Pizza Quattro Formaggio – Four cheese pizza topped with dolce latte, mascarpone, mozzarella & parmesan

Pizza Pollo – Fresh mozzarella, chicken & red peppers

Dessert

Gelato Misto – Selection of Italian ice creams

Lampone e Cioccolato Bianco di Formaggio – Raspberry & white chocolate cheesecake
