Whether you wish to get away with a group of friends to catch up on gossip, or gather the family together to reminisce of years gone by, today’s Big Deal is ideal for gathering the troops for some quality time together.
Set in a 35 acre woodland estate yet less than two hours from all of Scotland’s major cities, Moness Resort is quick and easy to get to but feels a long way from the grind of urban life.
It’s Highland Perthshire on your doorstep.
4 star family break
The cottages at Moness Resort are fully equipped for self-catering and have been awarded 4 star Scottish Tourist Board grading.
Many of the cottages have views overlooking the magnificent Aberfeldy Hills and the surrounding countryside.
Kitted out with everything you need to make cooking a pleasure, the cottages also feature satellite TV and DVDs. The resort has two fine restaurants for those nights when you don’t fancy cooking.
Today’s offer is for a cottage which sleeps up to eight people. When cottages are at maximum capacity, two guests will use sofa beds.
Tea, coffee and scones will be offered to guests on arrival – everyone likes a warm welcome at the start of their holidays.
Please note, a charge for utilities will be levied at the end of your stay at a rate of 10.4p per kilowatt. All cottages are non-smoking.
Guests staying in a cottage are welcome to use all of the resort’s extensive leisure facilities. The changing rooms, steam room, sauna, individual treatment rooms and poolside showers have recently been refurbished while the heated swimming pool is as popular as ever.
Badminton, mini-tennis, squash, table tennis and pool are all available on site or you could indulge in some luxurious treatments in the new Spa Therapy Rooms.
With this offer, guests can benefit from specially negotiated rates on spa treatments. Simply make your spa bookings when reserving your cottage stay.
Scottish restaurant in Perthshire
The resort has two dining options which are open to all guests.
Part of Moness Resort Hotel, Flemmyng Restaurant offers an excellent choice of fresh meat, fish and game sourced in Perthshire.
The menu is changed daily but typical dishes might be the Moness prawn cocktail; the char grilled rib-eye of Scotch beef or the Scottish salmon fillet served with a sun-blush tomato polenta cake.
As part of the offer, each couple will be offered a bottle of house wine when ordering a three course meal in the Flemmyng restaurant.
The Terrace Bar offers a less formal setting with comfy leather sofas and bistro style furniture and is ideal for a lighter or more informal meal.
See & do in Perthshire
The well presented grounds at Moness Resort are great for leisurely strolls – the duck pond and its family of mallards are always a popular destination.
Outside the resort, there are lots of opportunities for climbing and hill walking. Golfers will be happy to learn that there are over 40 courses nearby and the resort can help with tee times on courses such as Gleneagles.
We have posted a number of offers with Moness Resort before and some of the people who bought the deals told us that it was perfect for a girlie weekend. Others liked the value and others still told us that they had been to Moness before and thought it was perfect for a relaxing break.
This is what a recent guest had to say on TripAdvisor:
‘Excellent stay… 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom Granary Cottage. 7 of us ‘girls’ from primary school get together. Cottage was lovely, 2 en suite bedrooms, beds really comfortable, lovely open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen. Everything very clean. Kitchen had everything you needed. We ate in the bar and food was nice and also reasonably priced… Played badminton and used pool – changing rooms, showers etc spotless… All in all, a lovely stay, staff very pleasant and lovely cottage. We will definitely be back!’
