Since taking over at the Glasgow Road hotel in the Fair City, the new owners have been busy refurbishing, renovating and re-energising this much loved building.

Option one of the offer is for two people to have a one night stay in a double or twin room with a full Scottish breakfast in the morning.

Option two is for a two night stay with full Scottish breakfast each morning.

The offer is available Sunday to Friday with a £10 per night supplement for Friday night stays.

All of The Lovat Hotel’s double and twin rooms are ensuite and equipped with pocket sprung mattresses with a soft mattress topper. Luxury, high thread count linen with a soft, snuggly duvet ensure a great night’s sleep.

The flat screen TVs have Freeview channels and rooms have a hospitality tray with tea, coffee and biscuits.

Best of all is the free and super-fast WiFi available in all the rooms. The hotel also has free parking along with a free electric car charging point.

Modern Scottish restaurant

Stuart’s Restaurant at The Lovat is a new and modern Scottish dining room that serves luxury comfort fare.

The changes here have had a big impact since the new management took over. The restaurant has become so popular that they are sometimes having to turn away people who have not booked.

Start your day with a hearty breakfast selection, including Scottish favourites like black pudding; haggis caught from the hills or a delicious piece of smoked haddock with poached eggs.

In the evening, guests can enjoy locally sourced produce used to create simple yet delicious and hearty dishes.

Popular options include the spaghetti carbonara, the steak pie and, of course, the fish and chips. We like the look of the pork schnitzel.

Ideal location for exploring Perthshire

The Lovat Hotel is a two minute drive or a twelve minute stroll from the centre of Perth. Check the centre’s lovely delicatessens, high street brands and local boutique shops.

The city offers idyllic walks along the river Tay or through Branklyn Gardens, a National Trust attraction.

Nearby Perth races, Scone Palace and The Black Watch Castle and Museum all have lots of fans.

Alternatively, you could visit some of Perthshire’s distilleries or go for a ramble in the autumn countryside.

Highland Perthshire has dozens of waymarked walks and paths to suit everyone.
