Fisher’s Hotel has picked up plenty of enthusiastic reviews on TripAdvisor. These are recent examples, edited for length:
‘The staff were exceptional… the room comfortable and the breakfast was lovely… There is obviously some work going on to renovate the hotel… Fisher’s is in a good location with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. It is also fairly close to the Festival Theatre.’
‘Lovely old hotel but with modern rooms… Lovely welcome at reception… Although an old hotel, the decor was lovely and the rooms very modern. The en-suite was perfect and modern with a good shower. Breakfast was excellent with a good range of foods to choose from. All staff were lovely and made our stay very nice. Would definitely recommend.’
‘Pleasant hotel which seems to have had money invested in it recently. Bedroom was reasonable size, comfortable and bathroom with excellent shower – all seemed recently refurbished. Public areas are being worked on but also quite smart. There is a residents bar and a public bar. Good WiFi although better signal in public areas. Private parking at the back. Breakfast fine but served in large ballroom which gave it a bit of a canteen feel… Good location in centre of town. Overall recommended.’
Pitlochry is less than two hours from Edinburgh or Glasgow by car and also has handy bus and train connections.
Fisher’s has some free car parking and Pitlochry’s main bus stop is by the hotel’s main entrance. The town’s railway station is just behind the hotel.
All of which means that this Big Deal at Fisher’s Hotel is a very convenient way to enjoy a summer getaway with your nearest and dearest.
