The Breadalbane Arms Hotel

Originally a Scottish coaching hotel, The Breadalbane Arms Hotel in Aberfeldy has been welcoming guests since 1802. Situated by the banks of the River Tay, the hotel overlooks the cobbled town square.

Nestled in the Perthshire heart of Scotland, it is located in one of Scotland’s most scenic areas and it offers a great base for exploring the local area. From golf and fishing to museums and wild parks, there is lots to do.

The hotel has 36 newly refurbished en-suite bedrooms. All bathrooms have new bathroom furniture; all with showers and some with bath and showers.

There is free WiFi within the reception and bar area with all bedrooms having chargeable access to BT WiFi.

The cosy lounge bar serves a wide range of drinks and, of course, Highland malt whiskies.

The Bridge of Cally Hotel

The Bridge of Cally Hotel is tucked away at the foothills of Glenshee, at the Gateway to the Scottish Highlands. It is ideal for golfing, mountain biking, bird watching and hiking – the Cateran walking trail goes by the side of the hotel. The Glenshee ski centre is only 20 minutes away.

And, just a short drive from the market town of Blairgowrie and 45 minutes from Perth, it’s easy to fit in a cheeky shopping trip too.

The Bridge of Cally Hotel may have a rustic setting but all eighteen rooms are modern and comfortable, with flat screen TVs, Scottish toiletries, and tea and coffee-making facilities.

Letterfinlay Lodge Hotel

Letterfinlay Lodge Hotel has to have one of the most spectacular settings of any hotel in Scotland. Located on the banks of Loch Lochy with views of the Great Glen, it is surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the Scottish Highlands. 

The area offers numerous outdoor activities from hiking to biking and, if the weather is right, winter sports at the Nevis range.

A fourteen-bedroom former shooting lodge, with plenty of rustic character, the Letterfinlay Lodge enjoys a superb setting overlooking the loch.

Its location in Spean Bridge between Fort William and Inverness is on the Road to the Isles, making it an ideal base for exploring the West Coast or Cairngorms. Or a perfect stopover en route to the Western Isles.

The hotel facilities include the Osprey Lounge and wine bar which has incredible views over the loch.

The menus change regularly but typical main courses might be the seared medallions of pork served with apple fritters, spring onion mash cakes and creamy cider jus or the salmon and crayfish ravioli.
