Set in a 35 acre woodland estate yet less than two hours from all of Scotland’s major cities, Moness Resort is quick and easy to get to but feels a long way from the grind of urban life.

Family break

Many of the cottages at Moness Resort have views overlooking the magnificent Aberfeldy Hills and the surrounding countryside.

Kitted out with everything you need to make cooking a pleasure, the cottages also feature satellite TV and DVDs. The resort has two fine restaurants for those nights when you don’t fancy cooking.

Comfortable cottages

Available seven days a week, this offer comes in four options.

Option one (£109) is for up to four people to stay two nights in a one bedroom cottage with lounge area and private bathroom.

Option two (£139) is for up to six people to stay two nights in a two bedroom cottage with lounge area and private bathroom.

Option three (£169) is for up to four people to stay three nights in a one bedroom cottage with lounge area and private bathroom.

Option four (£209) is for up to six people to stay three nights in a two bedroom cottage with lounge area and private bathroom.

When cottages are at maximum capacity, two guests will use sofa beds.

Additional nights may be purchased at a rate of £59 for a 1 bedroom cottage and £69 for a 2 bedroom cottage, arranged directly with Moness Resort.

Please note, a charge for utilities will be levied at the end of your stay at a rate of 13.17p per kilowatt. All cottages are non-smoking.

There is a £20 per night supplement for Friday and Saturday night stays.

Fabulous facilities

Guests staying in a cottage are welcome to use all of the resort’s extensive leisure facilities. The changing rooms, steam room, sauna, individual treatment rooms and poolside showers have been refurbished while the heated swimming pool is as popular as ever.

Badminton, mini-tennis, squash, table tennis and pool are all available on site or you could indulge in some luxurious treatments in the new Spa Therapy Rooms.

With this offer, guests can benefit from a 10% discount on normal price spa treatments. Simply make your spa bookings when reserving your cottage stay.

Scottish restaurant in Perthshire

A popular feature of the resort, the Flemmyng Restaurant offers an excellent choice of fresh meat, fish and game sourced in Perthshire.

The menu changes daily but typical dishes might be the roasted corn-fed chicken breast wrapped in Ayrshire bacon with haggis, turnip fondant and peppercorn sauce; the pan-fried line caught sea bream with potato gnocchi, roasted cherry tomatoes and salsa verde, or the asparagus and pea risotto with Parmesan crisp and basil pesto.

All guests will be offered a complimentary bottle of house wine per couple if ordering a three course meal in the Flemmyng Restaurant.

The Terrace Bar offers a less formal setting with bistro style furniture and is an ideal choice for a lighter or more informal meal.

It’s very family-friendly and has the additional bonus of an outdoor terrace.

When the sun is shining, it is the ideal spot for enjoying a drink or al fresco meal.

See & do in Perthshire

The well presented grounds at Moness Resort are great for leisurely strolls – the duck pond and its family of mallards are always a popular destination.

Further afield, the high mountains and deep glens around Loch Tay are teeming with spectacular wildlife such as deer, eagles and grouse.

The River Tay has long been renowned by anglers the world over and is also one of Scotland’s adventure playgrounds with canoeing, kayaking, white-water rafting and much more.

Golfers will be happy to learn that there are over 40 courses nearby and the resort can help with tee times on courses such as Gleneagles.
