Escape to the loch

Set on Loch Earn and part of Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, Achray House is a great base for exploring St. Andrews, Dunkeld, Crieff and Oban (if you can drag yourself away from those beautiful views, that is).

Just over an hour’s drive from Edinburgh or Glasgow, it’s also easy to get to.

Led by head chef Filip Verheyden, the kitchen team uses classical French techniques to deliver terrific flavours and striking presentation with outstanding Scottish ingredients.

Sunday lunch

Available on Sundays up to and including Sunday 15th December (20th and 27th Oct are excluded), option one of this offer is for two people to enjoy a starter and main course from the Sunday lunch menu at Achray House Hotel.

Option two is for two people to each have a welcome cocktail followed by a starter and main course from the Sunday lunch menu.

Option three is for two people to have a welcome cocktail, starter and main course from the Sunday lunch menu plus an overnight stay in a double or twin loch view standard room.

Lunch is served: 1pm-3pm.

Roast lunch

The Sunday lunch menu changes regularly but typical starters might be the pan-fried mackerel served with spring onion mayonnaise or the roasted duck breast with crispy chorizo, celeriac puree and spring onions.

The roast sirloin of aged beef is always popular as is the roast leg of lamb marinated in rosemary and garlic. Of course, roasts come with all the trimmings such as seasonal greens and roasted root vegetables, Yorkshire pudding, and bottomless gravy.

Naturally, there are always vegetarian options such as the starter of Thai sweet potato, lentil and coconut soup served or the sweetcorn risotto served with leafy greens from Tomnaha market garden.

A typical veggie main course might be the vegetable press – sweet potato, beetroot and shiitake mushrooms with asparagus with carrot purée.

Total relaxation
