The Breadalbane Arms Hotel

Originally a Scottish coaching hotel, The Breadalbane Arms Hotel in Aberfeldy has been welcoming guests since 1802.

Visitors seldom arrive on horseback these days but the traditional Scottish welcome remains as warm as ever.

While The Breadalbane Arms Hotel is certainly no youngster, it has kept up with the times.

The hotel is currently benefitting from a rolling restoration program.

All the bedrooms and public areas have now been refurbished and the bathrooms have new bathroom furniture. 

Cobbled square

Situated by the banks of the River Tay, the hotel overlooks the cobbled town square. The cosy lounge bar serves a wide range of drinks and, of course, Highland malt whiskies.

One or two nights

The offer is for two people to enjoy a one or two night stay in a double or twin room with a hot and cold buffet breakfast each morning. A bottle of Prosecco in your room on arrival will help get your break off to a bubbly start.

Both options include dinner on the evening that you check-in. Dinner is a voucher for a three course meal in the Chinese buffet restaurant across from the hotel.

There is a £10 supplement per night for Friday and Saturday night stays, payable to the hotel.

Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas, and there is free parking on site.

See & do

​The Breadalbane Arms Hotel is in one of Scotland’s most scenic regions and offers a great base from which to explore the local area. From golf and fishing to museums and wild parks, there is lots to do in the surrounding area.

The Cairngorms National Park is about 40 miles away or guests could enjoy the short walk and beautiful scenery of The Birks. Viewing the waterfall followed by a cup of coffee, or something stronger, sounds like the perfect afternoon to us.

‘Surprisingly good. We did a last minute, ultra cheap deal last weekend. The hotel looks like it needs a kick of paint on the outside and a bit dated inside, but the bedroom was fantastic, obviously been revamped. Breakfast was great, nearly everything you would expect. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Can’t complain about this hotel at all.’

‘Like a good quality budget hotel. Looks like it’s had some improvements over the past few months; the paint in my room was almost still wet! Very clean and tidy room and new fittings and fixtures. A bit noisy being single-glazed and on the market place, but I always carry earplugs. From the outside, it’s looks very tired but hopefully this’ll all be part of the makeover.’
