Prices are based on two people sharing a standard twin or double room. Dinner will be a £20 allocation per person, on the first night only. If you’d like, you can upgrade to a Premier room for £20, which can be arranged directly with the hotel.

Children aged three and under can accompany you for free, or you can get a family room upgrade for older kids. You can also bring your dog along with you for a £10 supplement.

There is a £20 per room supplement for Saturday night stays.

Historic Highland hotel

Set in the peaceful village of Crianlarich, this classic Victorian residence is close to the famous West Highland Way walking route, as well as Ben More mountain and the Falls of Falloch.

Each of the colourful, relaxed guest rooms have free WiFi, flat-screen TVs, desks and hot drink making facilities.

The restaurant serves rustic local cuisine surrounded by wood panelling, parquet flooring and a fireplace. Afterwards, you can sit back and relax with a drink or two in the lounge bar.

The hotel also offers free parking, while Crianlarich train station is just a five-minute walk away.

Dinner for two

Your stay will include a £20 dinner allowance each from the a la carte menu on the first night.

Dishes can change seasonally, but guests can expect starters such as grilled goat’s cheese; chicken liver pate with brown toast and orange marmalade; haggis, neeps & tatties gateaux with whisky cream; and king prawn pil pil with chilli oil, garlic and toasted ciabatta.

Mains may include the usual steak pie; beer-battered haddock & chips; and house Caesar salad with option to add chicken or hot smoked salmon. There’s also the South Indian veg curry (sweet potato, aubergine, cauliflower, cashews, basmati rice and flatbread), pesto sea bream fillet; or a choice of steaks and burgers.

Sweet toothed guests can enjoy desserts such as the Isle of Arran ice cream trio (tablet, strawberry, chocolate, vanilla or mint choc-chip); raspberry & white chocolate crème brûlée; and mixed seasonal berries with fresh cream or vanilla ice cream.

Explore Highland Perthshire

Close to one of Scotland’s most famous hiking routes, the Best Western Crianlarich Hotel is a fantastic location for walkers.

The nearby Falls of Falloch is a lovely picnic spot on finer days while the Colin Burt Nature Reserve will give you a chance to learn about the area’s wildlife.

Loch Lomond is easy to reach by car and offers plenty of attractions, such as the Sea Life Centre, Faerie Trail and Duck Bay Marina, as well as Jenners department store.
