The notoriously bad poet William McGonagall once wrote a poem about Crieff.
It included the couplet:
‘Ye lovers of the picturesque, if ye wish to drown your grief,
Take my advice, and visit the ancient town of Crieff.’
The poetry is terrible but McGonagall was right about Crieff being picturesque.
A pretty market town in the heart of Perthshire’s most beautiful scenery, it is the ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside.

Lovely warm, friendly welcome from Maxine… Maxine showed us to our room, which was stunning… We had a lovely time – just a shame it wasn’t longer! Would definitely recommend this B&B.’
