Originally a Scottish coaching hotel, The Breadalbane Arms Hotel in Aberfeldy has been welcoming guests since 1802.

Visitors seldom arrive on horseback these days but the traditional Scottish welcome remains as warm as ever.

The hotel is currently benefitting from a rolling restoration program.

All the bedrooms and public areas have now been refurbished and the bathrooms have new bathroom furniture.

The offer is for two people to enjoy a one, two or three night stay in a double or twin room with a hot and cold buffet breakfast each morning. All options also include tea and cakes on arrival, and there is the option to include a dinner voucher.

Options one and two are for an overnight stay, valid Sunday to Thursday. Options three and four are for a two night stay, valid seven days. Options five and six are for a three night stay, valid seven days.

Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas, and there is free parking on site.

There is the option to connect to BT WiFi for a surcharge.

Dinner options

Situated by the banks of the River Tay, the hotel overlooks the cobbled town square. The cosy lounge bar serves a wide range of drinks and, of course, Highland malt whiskies.

There is no food served at night. However, there is a wide selection of restaurants in Aberfeldy.

French, Scottish, Italian, Mediterranean or Indian. The choice is yours.

Options two, four and six of the Big Deal include a voucher to use for a three course meal at the Chinese buffet restaurant, situated across the road from the hotel.

​The Breadalbane Arms Hotel is in one of Scotland’s most scenic regions and offers a great base from which to explore the local area. From golf and fishing to museums and wild parks, there is lots to do in the surrounding area.

The Cairngorms National Park is about 40 miles away or guests could enjoy the short walk and beautiful scenery of The Birks. Viewing the waterfall followed by a cup of coffee, or something stronger, sounds like the perfect afternoon to us.

‘Like a good quality budget hotel. Looks like it’s had some improvements over the past few months; the paint in my room was almost still wet! Very clean and tidy room and new fittings and fixtures. A bit noisy being single-glazed and on the market place, but I always carry earplugs. From the outside, it’s looks very tired but hopefully this’ll all be part of the makeover.’

‘Light on the pocket. The hotel is undergoing a basic refurb in the Travelodge style. The room was spotless, everything worked and the staff were polite and helpful. The cost was reasonable and I would certainly return again.’
