Garth Hotel is based in Grantown-on-Spey on the edge of the Cairngorms. If you enjoy hiking, golfing, fishing, skiing, whisky tasting, wildlife spotting or just soaking up Scottish scenery, then this is the place for you.

The hotel began life as a 19th century inn and has now been refurbished, meaning that you can enjoy the Victorian atmosphere combined with modern comforts.

When you are not busy exploring the sights of Speyside, you can chill out in front of the open fire in the lounge or head to the cocktail bar to sample real ales and up to 60 malt whiskies.

Some of the guest rooms offer panoramic views of the hotel gardens and town.

One or two night stay

This very flexible Big Deal has three options.

Option one is for an overnight stay for two with breakfast and a late check-out. Option two includes a £20 per person dinner allowance.

Option three is for a two night stay for two with dinner allowance on first night, breakfast both mornings and a late check-out.

Prices are based on two people sharing a standard double or twin room.

This offer is available seven days a week from 2nd January until 31st March 2020. If you would like to stay on a Saturday, there will be a supplement of £10 per room. Pets and children are also welcome for a supplement.

Enjoy Scottish cuisine

The restaurant at Garth Hotel is a friendly dining spot serving local cuisine imaginatively prepared by the kitchen team.

If you choose option two or three, you will both get a £20 per person dinner allowance towards food on the a la carte menu.

Menus can change, but typical mains might include the casserole of local estate venison, the grilled fillet of Wester Ross salmon and the red onion, pumpkin and cranberry tagine.

See & do

From Cairngorms National Park to the steam-powered Speyside Railway to the 18-hole Grantown Golf Club, you won’t be short of things to do.

Almost 90% of all Scotch Malt Whisky is distilled within an hour’s drive of the hotel, making it the ideal base for exploring or to sample a dram.

Plus you can immerse yourself in nature by taking a ramble along the Speyside Way, Anagach Woods and Loch Garten.

Other visitor highlights include the Highland Wildlife Park, Balmoral Castle and Boat of Garten Osprey Village. The more adventurous among you can make the most of the activities on offer at Craggan Outdoors activity centre.

‘We had a lovely Hogmanay break at The Garth Hotel. We have stayed before and on both occasions it has been the staff that have made it memorable. Nothing was too much bother and they were always smiling and extremely helpful. This is one of the most dog friendly hotels we have stayed in and a table was set up in the bar for both dinner and breakfast, with linen tablecloth and napkins just so our dog could be with us. Definitely stay again.’

The Hogmanay dinner was superb and the street party and fireworks display every bit as good as we’d heard. The Garth is in a great situation for this. Overall the location in Grantown on Spey is ideal for visiting so many attractions, my favourite being the Highland Wildlife Park where I can see the polar bears I like so much. Five stars all the way for accommodation, staff, food and location. Highly recommend.’

Had dog with us and was given a great room on ground floor so we could easily get him out to the grassy area. Food beautiful, would recommend and a very decent price.
