Available on selected dates throughout December, this Big Deal is for a Christmas party night at The Popinjay Hotel & Spa.

As well as a three course Christmas dinner, the deal includes a disco until around 1am.

Guests choosing the party night on Hogmanay will receive a five course dinner with Prosecco, canapés and music from a piper.

The Christmas party menu looks something like this:

Starters

Scotch broth with a crusty roll

Fantail of melon served with soft fruit compote and rhubarb sorbet

Chicken liver parfait served with cranberry, onion chutney and oatcakes

Mains

Traditional turkey served with all the trimmings

Slow braised ribeye of beef served with seasonal vegetables and roasted new potatoes and pan jus

Sautéed mushroom and goats cheese wrapped in filo pastry, on a bed of house salad and spicy tomato sauce

Desserts

Eton mess with fresh strawberries and raspberries layered between crushed meringue and chantilly cream, served with homemade shortbread

Sticky toffee Christmas pudding with toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream

Mulled wine poached pear served with gingerbread ice cream and mulled syrup

Option to stay

If you don’t want the festivities to end straight after dinner, guests on the Big Deal can also choose the convenience of an overnight stay with full Scottish breakfast and a late check-out at noon.

The Popinjay Hotel & Spa is just off the M74, 25 minutes from Glasgow and under an hour from Edinburgh.
