Historic hotel
Close to the Falls of Clyde and converted from an 18th century cotton mill, the New Lanark Mill Hotel is surrounded by beautiful grounds and lush scenery.
Previous guests have enjoyed it so much that it has even earned itself a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
Available Monday to Friday until the end of May, the Big Deal is for afternoon tea for two, which will be served in the Mill One Bar or hotel lounge.
Guided tour
Fancy learning more about the 18th century mill village of New Lanark? Option two of the deal includes a guided tour, which will last for around 45 minutes.
You will get the chance to discover the fascinating ‘Story of New Lanark’, including the historical milestones that helped shape it into a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Tours will be in mixed groups and take place at 1.30pm, Monday to Friday. Afterwards, you can sit down and enjoy your afternoon tea at the hotel.

Your afternoon tea spread will include a variety of finger sandwiches, scones with homemade preserves, a selection of finger sweet treats and (bonus!) delicious New Lanark Ice Cream.
A selection of Birchall’s tea is included or, alternatively, coffee.

Afternoon tea menu consists of a selection of finger sandwiches, scones with homemade preserves, selection of finger sweet treats, selection of Birchall’s tea. Menu may be subject to changes.
Purchase entitles customers to 15% discount in the Mill Shop.

There is a limited capacity per tour. Places must be booked in advance. Tour lasts approx. 45 minutes.

24 hour cancellation policy applies. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in purchase being invalidated with no refund.
Tables required back after 90 minutes.
Multiple purchases permitted. Max 2 purchases (4 people) per booking.
Dietary requirements can be catered for – please ensure you confirm at time booking.
Wheelchair access available. Wheelchairs are available to be booked at the Institute reception. Visitors with mobility issues will be accommodated on all tours and sessions.
The hotel may restrict the number of 5pm purchases available to book per day.
