The Elgin Hotel has lots of admirers on TripAdvisor with many reviews praising the friendliness of the staff. This is an extract from a long and enthusiastic, recent review:
‘We stayed for five nights in this lovely hotel. The rooms were lovely, bright and comfy. The staff were second to none. Nothing was any trouble for them to make our stay perfect. The breakfast… was more like a feast. They had everything you could think of, from cereals and juice to fresh fruit and yogurt. Full English cooked to perfection, with toast tea and coffee. We were so full we did not need lunch… the village is beautiful with loads of walks and the locals were very friendly and made you welcome. It’s right next to the river and you can walk along the coast…’
