A Grand Prix event is an essential bucket list item for every sporting fan.
And if you are going to head to one, then it might as well be at the jaw-dropping Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgian.
Known as ‘the most beautiful circuit in the world’, it is also the longest Grand Prix track (not to mention one of the most challenging).
And on 1st September 2019, a crowd of 12,000 will gather there to cheer on the best racing drivers on the planet at the Formula One.
Today’s Big Deal from World Choice Sports gives you the chance to be one of those lucky spectators. So why not snap it up and enjoy an unforgettable day, complete with two night stay?
Surrounded by forest, the twisty and hilly ‘spa’ is as stunning as it is nail-biting.
This race package from World Choice Sports will include a Formula One Belgian Grand Prix ticket, a return flight from Edinburgh and a two night stay in a 3 or 4-star Brussels hotel.
It is safe to say that the sports fan in your life would love this as a birthday or anniversary gift (it would also make a great stag weekend option as well).
Choice of hotel
You will be flying out from Edinburgh Airport with Brussels Airlines on Saturday 31st August and returning on Monday 2nd September.
You can choose from the following three hotels, all of which are 3 or 4-star: Best Western City Centre, Gresham Belson Hotel and First Euroflat.
Breakfast is included and prices are based on two people sharing a standard twin or double room.
Note: transfer to your hotel is not included.
Day out to remember
The Belgian Grand Prix will take place on Sunday 1st September from 2pm to 4pm, giving you plenty time to roam around Brussels on the Saturday and Monday.
Your ticket will be a bronze race day general admission. If you would like to upgrade to a silver or gold ticket, you can do so directly with World Choice Sports.
You should make your way to Brussels Midi Station for a 06:45 departure to the chosen race stand by coach, which departs back to the station at 16:30. Both coach trips are included in the package.
As you will be staying in the city for two nights, you will have time to fit in a bit of sightseeing as well.
The Grand Place is usually the first port of call for visitors and offers impressive architectural sights, including the Town Hall. Other highlights include the Auto World car museum (perfect for pairing with a Grand Prix trip), the royal Brussels Park and Mini-Europe miniature park.
Needless to say, there will also be plenty of traditional Belgian basement bars around to try out local beers in. And when you get peckish, you can sample national classics such as moules-frites and chocolate waffles.
Happy racing fans
TripAdvisor reviewers have had plenty of good things to say about the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. Here is some recent feedback, edited for length:
‘Stunning circuit! Having visited a fair number of motorsport circuits, this was one of the best. Close to the town, packed with knowledgeable fans, and some rain during practise to liven things up a bit. Energetic walk round the woodland surrounding the track. It can be cold and wet or sunny and windy — not great for sunbathing but ideal for a good race weekend!’
‘Perfect. This is a perfect race track, a circuit built into a natural wonder. It is an incredibly beautiful place. If you have not watched a race you have missed a lot. Come and see for yourself.’
‘Fantastic first visit in November. Easy to locate and informative staff. We were here for a track day.’
Gift with added thrills
If you fancy treating your favourite sports fan to an extra special birthday or anniversary gift, then a ticket to the Belgian Grand Prix is guaranteed to put a big grin on their face.
Alternatively, this Big Deal would also make a great option for a stag weekend or getaway with friends.
So why snap it up while you can and give yourself an adrenaline-pumping event to look forward to this summer?
