We hate to break it to you, but autumn just called to say that it’s on its way over (winter will show up later).
You could of course hide behind the sofa and pretend to be out when they arrive.
Or you could just leave the country and head to Malaga instead. They’ll never be able to find you there. Never!
Escape dreich and drizzly weather with today’s Big Deal for a four night, 4-star hotel break on the Costa del Sol, with return flights from Glasgow Prestwick included.
4 nights in the Costa del Sol
This Big Deal from myholidaysnow is for a four night escape to vibrant and historic Malaga. There is no need to dread the worst of autumn or winter when you’ve got an escape to Spain in the pipeline.
The offer includes return flights from Glasgow Prestwick. You will be staying in Hotel Ilunion Fuengirola, a 4-star design hotel on Fuengirola’s seafront promenade, overlooking Los Boliches Beach.
The price is for room only accommodation, based on two people sharing a standard double or twin room. Departure dates are as follows:
18th, 25th November
2nd, 9th, 16th December
13th, 20th, 27th January
4 star hotel by the beach
Hotel Ilunion Fuengirola has everything you need for a cheeky four-night escape on the Costa del Sol.
This includes a seasonal outdoor pool with panoramic sea views and a poolside café bar, where you can enjoy romantic sunset scenes of Los Boliches Beach. There is also a terrace, scenic restaurant with a varied buffet breakfast and, of course, that all-important free WiFi.
Other facilities include spa & beauty treatments such as massages, a 24-hour front desk and paid on-site parking.
All rooms are air-conditioned with ensuite bathrooms, as well as heating, satellite TV, a minibar with free water on arrival and a hairdryer. Most also have a balcony. The hotel is entirely accessible, including wheelchair adapted rooms.
Hotel Ilunion Fuengirola is just a five-minute walk from Los Boliches station, where you can take direct trains to Málaga Airport. Mijas, Torrequebrada and Los Naranjos golf courses are all within easy reach, should you fancy a round or two in the sun.
Culture, cuisine and coastline
If you are looking for a Costa del Sol experience with a bit of artiness and history thrown in (as well as an excellent dining scene), then Malaga should be your first port city of call.
Known for its golden beaches, you would be well within your rights to spend your trip lounging on the sand or by the pool. However, if you are in the mood for a bit of culture, then there’s plenty to see and do on that score as well.
This includes the Moorish hilltop fortress of Alcazaba, the Roman amphitheatre, the Renaissance cathedral, the Picasso museum and even an arts district named after London’s Soho.
As well as this, you will have an excellent range of tapas bars and restaurants to try out (including quite a few Michelin-starred places) and the kind of nightlife you’d expect from the Costa del Sol.
So what are you waiting for? Time to look out your favourite flip-flops, we reckon.
Recent guests at Hotel Ilunion Fuengirola have left rave reviews on TripAdvisor:
‘Very good location and great staff. Very clean place and the staff are great, and the food was great, good choices, will definitely come again. Great location right next to the bars and restaurants, great sea views from our bedroom.’
‘Great hotel, fantastic location, friendly staff. Stayed here for 4 nights, had a great time, room had large balcony, great views over beach. Staff very friendly, special thanks to Paco and all bar staff as well as reception and all others. Would thoroughly recommend.’
‘Lovely hotel in an excellent location! We chose this hotel on a last minute deal and were delighted with the helpful, friendly welcome we received, especially from Babou, who gave us the best view from our room overlooking the sea and pool! He also helped us with anything we needed, a truly lovely man! Just across the road was the lively Fuengirola beach, amazing restaurants, bars and shops. Minutes from the train station and bus stops, you will not need a car here. We went half board and the food was nice and plentiful. The pool was small but nice and not overcrowded. Rooms were clean and spacious with nice balconies, perfect to watch the sunset if you have a sea view. Overall a great holiday here!’
Escape the rain and head to Spain
You know it makes sense. Especially when it’s Malaga. And especially when return flights and a 4 star beachside hotel stay are included.
Our only question is – what lucky person will you be whisking off with you on your sunny break?
