Whisky can be a daunting subject to study but one which repays serious application. You can start or indeed polish your knowledge of the water of life with today’s Big Deal. Just buy the voucher and head to Tullibardine Distillery to start your scholarship in Scotch. At £25 for two, it represents the cheapest tuition fees out there at the moment.
Tullibardine Distillery nestles at the foot of the Ochil Hills in Perthshire at the start of the Highlands. The Distillery draws its water from the same source which fed the first public brewery in Scotland and from where King James IV purchased beer to celebrate his coronation in 1488.
Today Tullibardine (built on the site of the brewery) reigns supreme as a fine malt whisky of majestic qualities. It is considered ‘Eminently quaffable’. Just the sort of no nonsense recommendation which we like at Big Deal.
This tour takes approx. 1.5 hours and gives a great insight into the skill and effort that goes into creating The Tullibardine Single Malt Whisky. The tour will end in our tasting room, where you will nose and sample three of our Tullibardine Whiskies.
To round off your visit, homemade soup, a sandwich and a hot drink await you in the 1488 café along with a gift bag of Tullibardine goodies to take away with you.
Whether you are a whisky buff or a whisky bumbler, today’s Big Deal is a great way to learn and sample (mustn’t forget the sampling) the Tullibardine Whiskies.
Remember, it’s half price. You can enjoy the bonded distillery tour and a light lunch for two people for £25; a saving of 50% on the standard £50 fee
