Country house hotel

A 14-bedroom former shooting lodge, with plenty of rustic character, the Letterfinlay Lodge enjoys a superb setting overlooking the loch. Its location in Spean Bridge between Fort William and Inverness is on the Road to the Isles, making it an ideal base for exploring the West Coast or Cairngorms, or a perfect stopover en route to the Western Isles.

There are numerous outdoor activities on your doorstep, from hiking to biking. Birdwatchers may even be lucky enough to witness ospreys swooping over the loch at sunset.

Available seven days a week, the Big Deal option one is for two people to enjoy an overnight stay in a standard double or twin room, many of which have loch views. Hot and cold buffet breakfast is included.

Short beef rib, slow-cooked rib of beef in a rich Scottish ale jus, served with a quenelle of mash, and roasted root vegetables

Darne of oven-baked Scottish salmon served on a quenelle of dill mash with lime hollandaise sauce and tender buttered broccoli florets

Homemade wild mushroom ravioli with a white wine and shallot volute
