Bears famously hibernate through winter. This helps explain why they are so bad at skiing.
Don’t make a bear-shaped boo boo.
Instead, make the most of Scotland’s winter wonderland with today’s Big Deal on a three night stay at Birchbrae Lodges.
Outdoor capital of Scotland
Comfortable, cosy and beautifully equipped, the four star, self catering lodges are located eight miles south of Fort William, a.k.a. the Outdoor Capital of Scotland.
The surrounding Lochaber area is made up of soaring mountains; sparkling burns; deep, mysterious lochs and a wild rugged coastline.
Whether you prefer mountain biking or Munro-bagging; distillery visits, island hopping or skiing, it is all on the doorstep at Birchbrae Lodges.
With vouchers valid until the 27th of March 2014, this Big Deal would make a great family Christmas present or you could use it to take a break with chums – a pre-Christmas chance to recharge the batteries is always welcome.
Three night stay
Available seven days a week, the offer is for up to six guests to stay in a three bedroom lodge for three consecutive nights.
Weekend stays are charged a £30 supplement per lodge.
The lodges are the perfect place to come home to after a full day’s activity. Ideal for family holidays or breaks with friends, they all have three bedrooms with two bathrooms – one with bath and shower and one with shower only.
All lodges have a large lounge with comfy modular sofas, footstools and a surround sound home cinema TV system. A DVD and CD library is provided.
There is a dining area in each lodge with seating for six and an oak topped table plus a fully fitted, well equipped modern kitchen.
Each lodge has toasty electric heating throughout and each radiator can be independently controlled. All electricity, heating, broadband access, linen and towel sets are also included.
Some of Scotland’s finest scenery surrounds the Birchbrae Lodges but, for those rare rainy days, this offer includes unlimited free access to the swimming pool, sauna and spa at the Ben Nevis Leisure Club in Fort William.
Golfers can also enjoy a free game of golf (club hire not included) at the nine-hole Dragon’s Tooth Golf Course in Ballachulish.
Today’s Big Deal with Birchbrae Lodges would make a great winter break for friends and family or a welcome Christmas gift for a mini-break in the early part of 2014. The vouchers are valid until the 27th of March 2014.

‘Excellent value for money. We stayed here for 4 nights as a group of 6. The cabin looked good on the website but was actually even better in reality. Spacious and modern and set within a fantastic woodland location. Overall I couldn’t find a single fault. I’ll be staying here again for sure. DVDs and games are available for the kids at no charge and the surrounding area is perfect for the little ones to explore.’
