It’s that time of year when fairy godmothers make wishes come true.
We’ve waved our wand and come up with a magical Big Deal on a stay at Achnagairn Hotel, a striking, refurbished castle located seven miles outside of Inverness.
Set in the fairytale formal gardens of Achnagairn Estate, the hotel is part of the Perfect Manors collection.
Escape the ordinary
Their motto is ‘Escape the ordinary’ and it is easy to see how you might do that in the five star Achnagairn Hotel.
A listed property, it dates back to the early 19th century and elegantly combines modern luxury with original Scottish baronial style architecture.
Champagne and whisky
Available Thursday to Saturday, this offer is available for one or two nights.
Option one is for two people to stay in an upgraded luxury room with a Continental breakfast in the morning. There will be a bottle of Champagne, fruit and sparkling water in your room on arrival.
Option two is as option one but a two consecutive night stay.
Guests can also enjoy a whisky tasting or loch cruise on the Jacobite Warrior during their stay for an extra £30, payable directly to Achnagairn.
Choose from the entertainment options to suit your preferences.
Whisky tastings are conducted in house with an experienced whisky professional, offering the chance to sample five malts.
Jacobite Warrior trips are scenic two-hour cruises with great views of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle.
Individually decorated rooms
The luxury rooms at Achnagairn are individually themed and styled, with sumptuous interiors, kingsize beds and impressive views. The accommodation provides contemporary comfort in a style that reflects the hotel’s illustrious heritage.
Depending on availability, there may be the option to upgrade to a Junior Suite for a £30 per room per night supplement and a Deluxe suite for £50 per room per night supplement; subject to availability and to be paid directly to Achnagairn.
Local dining options
Beauly, which is a seven minute drive from the Estate, offers several dining options, including a contemporary cosmopolitan brasserie, traditional Scottish fare and Indian cuisine. It also has informal pubs and cafes serving light lunches.
A traditional inn within a two minute drive from Achnagairn serves hearty rustic pub food.
Alternatively an evening meal can be provided in the Achnagairn restaurant with a private chef. This can be requested when booking over the telephone.
Achnagairn has welcomed lots of guests who have reviewed their experiences on TripAdvisor. This recent one is typical:

The setting is beautiful, the rooms were superb, the staff and service were excellent, and the location was brilliant. I give Perfect Manors the highest recommendation, and plan to return there for a family holiday at the earliest opportunity.’
