There are dozens of reasons to visit Inverness.
We could list the opportunities – distillery visits and wildlife watching, but we’re sure you’ll have a vague idea if you’re considering staying there.
Whatever floats your boat, enjoy it from a cosy base at Mercure Inverness Hotel, thanks to this Big Deal.
A short walk from Inverness rail station and with its own parking facilities, Mercure Inverness is beautifully located on the banks of the River Ness.
Refurbished in the last couple of years, it is a stylish, contemporary hotel smack in the middle of all that Inverness has to offer.
Dinner and wine
This Big Deal has two options.
Option one is for a one night stay for two. Option two is for a two night stay for two.
Both options are for a double or twin classic room and include a bottle of house wine in your room on arrival, breakfast each morning, dinner on the evening of your arrival and a late check-out of 3pm.
Classic bedrooms all offer supremely comfortable beds, riverside or old town views, HD TVs, complimentary high speed WiFi, en suite bathrooms, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a fitness centre which guests are welcome to use.
This offer is available seven days a week. There is a £30 supplement for Saturday night stays in October, and a £20 supplement for Saturdays in November.
Friday and Saturday nights are not available in December.
Dinner with a view
As well as enjoying a hearty breakfast in the morning, the offer includes a £22 per person allowance towards dinner in the Brasserie or the three course table d’hôte menu.
A cool dining room, the hotel’s 33 Church Street Bar and Brasserie has panoramic views of the River Ness.
Popular main courses range from the braised chicken leg, with a white bean and smoked ham hock cassoulet to the Thai red curry. The Chef’s signature dishes include options such as the maple-roast pork belly with a sausage and butterbean stack, pear and apple purée and sea salt crackling.
A grill section offers burgers, the fish of the day and, of course, the ever popular rib-eye steak which is dry-aged for 28 days.
