• The sister bar and restaurant to the Finsbay in Milngavie, the Finsbay Flatiron is a steak restaurant on Woodlands Road. By day, it is light and airy with stripped walls, pale wood and white, bright furniture. By night it has an inviting, warm glow.

• A couple of professional rugby players are involved in Finsbay Flatiron so you can always be sure that they will be showing the big games.

• As the name suggests, Finsbay Flatiron specialises in flat iron steaks. And we mean specialise. Their beef is Scottish and sourced from local butchers. Served with rocket and carved into slices, it makes for a simple but satisfying meal.

• Today’s Big Deal is for a signature flat iron steak with your choice of sauce, topper and side. Toppers include blue cheese, Gochujang prawns and Corrie fried egg. Choose from sauces such as roast garlic and parsley or bone marrow butter. Sides on offer include mac and cheese topped with pancetta and truffle and parmesan fries.

• The offer is available seven days a week, from noon until 9pm.

• ‘We booked at FF Woodlands Road through 5pm and would thoroughly recommend it for quality and value. We had the Flatiron steak, 1 with macaroni and the other with beef dripping chips both sides were good portions and we would most certainly return’.

• FF will tick the box of any meat lover. The server was knowledgeable and advised how to have the Flatiron steak cooked. We both opted for medium and it was bang on. There are a decent range of sides to accompany the steak. The options for wine and drinks was also really good. Great meal and a lovely experience. Would love to go back on a match day to watch the rugby from the projector onto the wall.
