When planning an occasion meal, sometimes you just really want to have a private room.
Maybe because you and your party would like some privacy and don’t want to be bothered by the presence of other diners.
Or maybe you have a feeling your own party might get a little, shall we say, raucous, and you’re really being considerate of other diners’ feelings (especially that one friend who thinks they can sing like Adele after a few glasses of red).
Whatever the reason, dining in a private room as a group is a truly special experience. We have a great one on offer today with this Big Deal at Malmaison, Glasgow.
Malmaison Glasgow private dining
Today’s Big Deal is for a private dining experience for eight people at Malmaison, Glasgow.
There are two options with this deal. Option one is for eight people to dine on three courses with a glass of fizz each from the Prix Fixe menu. Each additional guest can be added for £24.95 each. This is available to use Sunday to Thursday.
Option two of the deal is for eight people to dine on three courses with a glass of fizz each from Menu D. Each additional guest can be added for £35 each. This is available to use Friday and Saturday.
The dining room at Malmaison is completely private with walls and closed doors separating it from the rest of the hotel but it is just beside the main bar, allowing guests to easily pop in and out to order more drinks.
This deal offers two mouthwatering menus to dine from: Prix Fixe for option one and Menu D for option two.
The Prix Fixe menu includes delicious dishes like smoked ham hock and serrano ham roulade with watercress, shallot, new potato salad and sweet mustard dressing to start, Cumbrian chicken roast breast and confit leg served with fricasse of spring vegetables, Anya potatoes and truffle cream as a main, and chocolate and almond sundae with brownie pieces, dark chocolate and salted caramel ice cream, chocolate sauce and honeycomb and toasted almonds for dessert. Take a look at the full menu here.
The dishes on Menu D differ slightly, offering mouthwatering treats like roast marinated heritage beetroot with goat’s cheese and endive salad to start, slow cooked pork belly with new season potatoes, spring cabbage, Jerez vinegar, apple and thyme jus as a main, and Valrhona chocolate mousse with honeycomb and Crème Chantilly as dessert.
Note, the menus are seasonal and subject to change.

A recent review (edited for length) says:
“The occasion was my Aunt’s 50th birthday… The room was the perfect size; modern, impeccably tidy and plenty of room for another small table to sit the birthday cake on. I had been conversing with the Events Manager via email over the last two or so months, planning this event. And, not only is she absolutely lovely but, nothing was too much trouble. The process went very smoothly and she took a lot of the planning pressure off of myself – which I greatly appreciated! The meal itself was delicious! All the ladies commented on the standard of food. I had the Normandy Chicken and it was divine! Again, the cocktails were beautiful, I was very impressed by the “Malchemy” menu, and tried a number of them… which I was subsequently reminded of the following day by way of a piercing headache (my fault – not theirs!) Finally, the staff! Well, they truly made the evening what it was! Holly greeted us on arrival, very pleasant, helpful and on hand at all times to deal with our demanding guests. Megan behind the bar – what a lovely girl! Both, as well as everyone else that served us, we owe a big thank you too. Wonderful Time had by all! Would highly recommend both private dining and also dining in the main restaurant. Hotel rooms are also lovely and very central location. I’m only sorry I won’t be back this weekend for the same again.”
