Pasta or pizza

Available noon to 9pm, Sunday to Thursday, and from noon to 4.30pm and then 8.30pm to 10pm on Fridays, the offer is for two people to have a pizza or pasta dish from the main menu.

Option two adds a glass of Rossini Prosecco or glass of house wine for each guest.

The pizza at Mediterraneo are stone-baked and topped with the best tomatoes and fresh fior di latte mozzarella from Italy.

Options range from a simple but classic Margherita – topped with tomato, fresh baby mozzarella cheese and basil – to a pizza topped with tomato, mozzarella cheese, spicy Italian sausage and red onion.

If you really want to celebrate Glasgow’s love of Italian food, choose the Braveheart pizza, topped with haggis, bacon, mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce.

There are more than a dozen different pasta dishes to choose from.

We always have a soft spot for a good old lasagne but could easily be persuaded by the fusilli principessa – pasta twirls tossed in a sauce made with fillet of chicken breast, Parma ham, white wine, petit pois, fresh tomatoes, garlic, basil and cream.

A supplement of £2.95 will be applied to any pasta or pizza dish that contains steak, fillet of beef or seafood. There is a £1 supplement for gluten free pasta and pizza dishes.

Located in a renovated Victorian building in the Italian quarters of Glasgow’s Merchant City, Mediterraneo features a brilliant open plan kitchen so diners can watch the chefs at work.
