One of our resolutions for 2019 is to spend less time in front of a screen and more time in front of Scotland’s epic scenery.

And we’re starting with today’s Big Deal on an overnight stay with breakfast, dinner and wine from The Buchanan Arms Hotel and Spa.

Country house hotel stay

This Big Deal is for two people to enjoy an overnight stay in a classic double or twin room with a bottle of wine on arrival, a cooked Scottish breakfast, full use of the leisure facilities and a two course dinner for each guest.

All the rooms are ensuite and individually decorated. Classic rooms are equipped with a hairdryer, hospitality tray and satellite TV. There is free WiFi throughout the hotel.

Guests also have the option of staying in an Executive room on Friday and Saturday nights throughout April. Executive rooms have all the features of a classic room with additional space, a king or queen size double bed and a large comfortable seating or sofa area.

This country house escape is on the famous West Highland Way walkers’ route in Drymen. Other facilities include the Relax leisure club with swimming pool, Salmon Leap restaurant, lounge bar and even a conservatory with an open fire.

Conveniently close to Glasgow but far enough away to offer peace and tranquillity, this is the ideal spot for a relaxing break.

Options one, two and three are available until 30th April.

Option four is available from 1st May until 30th June.

Fresh and local

A full cooked Scottish breakfast and a two course dinner from the seasonal table d’hôte menu in the Salmon Leap Restaurant are included in the deal.

Local produce, freshly prepared to order is the central theme of the menu. The chefs produce dishes which are simple but stylish and feature many tried and tested, traditional Scottish favourites.

With a wide selection of single malts, the welcoming snug bar, lounge and conservatory – did we mention the open fire? – are all ideal for a drink before or after dinner.

Spa and leisure club

Guests also have full access to the Relax Health and Fitness Club at the Buchanan Arms.

This state of the art club features a 14m indoor heated pool, spa bath, sauna, steam room, squash court and aerobics studio. There is also a fully equipped gymnasium.
