Hailstones. Throngs of shoppers. Wrestling the tree down from the loft while it pokes you in the eye with a branch.
We all love Christmas but admittedly, it can be a wee bit stressy at times.
That’s why you need a special treat to look forward to during the festive countdown. A chance to unwind and soak up the Christmas spirit with your favourite people.
And what better way to do this than over a festive afternoon tea in Glasgow’s super stylish Marco Pierre White restaurant?
Today’s Big Deal for two or four people will include a very Christmassy selection of treats as well as a cheeky glass of mulled wine or fizz each.
Tipsy festive afternoon tea
Available until early January, this offer is for two or four people to enjoy a festive afternoon tea at Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill on Waterloo Street.
Your afternoon tea will be served on a classic three-tier stand. The menu is changed regularly, but is likely to include the following:
Sandwiches on thick sliced white and seeded wholemeal bread:
Roast turkey & cranberry
Smoked salmon, creme fraiche & fennel
Honey roast ham, rocket, apple sauce
Traditional egg mayo & chive
Mini mince pies
Mini Christmas pudding
Selection of cakes
Sultana scones with chantilly cream, rhubarb & ginger jam
Alongside your mulled wine or fizz (which can be swapped for a soft drink) a choice of fine tea or freshly brewed coffee is included.
You can enjoy your afternoon tea seven days a week right up until the beginning of January 2020. The question is, which of your fabulous friends are you going to take along with you?

Christmas countdown treat
These days, festive afternoon tea is becoming as important a Christmas ritual as leaving Custard Creams out for Santa.
