‘Cubata’ is Spanish for a dark rum and coke – the simple but effective cocktail which has kick started many a fiesta.
Get your party revving with today’s Big Deal on a tapas treat at Cubatas Tapas Bar and Restaurant on Elderslie Street.
Newly opened, Cubatas is eager to please and they promise to deliver tapas as authentic as those in Spain.
Today’s Big Deal is for one person to have four delicious tapas from the Cubatas set menu plus a glass of sangria.
The offer is available seven days a week from 5pm and is a great introduction to the Cubatas dishes.
With its stripped walls and slinky wooden bar, Cubatas looks very contemporary and that bang-up-to-date vibe continues on their menus.
The set menu has plenty of traditional favourites such as chicken croquettes, Med-flavoured meatballs, tortilla and Serrano ham.
It also features a number of dishes which take a more innovative approach to tapas.
From Japanese-style chicken kebabs to tacos via a German-inspired dish of chicken cooked in beer, the kitchen brigade at Cubatas are always ready to surprise.
Cubatas may be new but it is already attracting enthusiastic reviews on TripAdvisor. We’ve cut this recent review for length but not meaning:
‘Fabulous addition to West End/city centre restaurants… The ambiance is perfect. The staff were very friendly – a bit new but knowledgeable and the tapas were first class. We revisited a week later and, although a bit quiet, it really is a fantastic restaurant. There is something for everyone’s palate. The menu is vast but the food is cooked then and there without it being too long to wait. We couldn’t fault any of our completely different seven tapas or two deserts from last week… I’d have no hesitation in recommending this great restaurant and can’t wait till next Saturday for a revisit with my family.’
If you want to try Glasgow’s latest tapas bar then grab this Big Deal with Cubatas. It would be perfect for a night out with friends or family; it’s a good excuse to dodge cooking and it would also be ideal for a bite before heading to a show at the King’s or The Hydro.
