Just around the corner from the King’s Theatre and a brisk five minute walk from the Theatre Royal, it’s not hard to see how the Pitt Street restaurant gained the reputation for being the ‘show before the show’.
Of course, it is not just the proximity to two of Glasgow’s theatres which makes Alla Italia popular.
It’s also the authentic Italian dishes which are cooked fresh, using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients as well as speciality products imported from Italy.
Spring menu

As well as three courses from the Spring menu, this Big Deal includes a Prosecco cocktail, served with dessert.
Great choice
In addition to a tasty, rustic minestrone soup, the starters on offer include a classic Caprese salad, made with buffalo mozzarella, tomato and basil; a choice of brushcetta plus arancini – rice balls flavoured with wild mushrooms and mozzarella.
The selection of main courses is packed with classic dishes like the traditional lasagne; spaghetti carbonara and pizza topped with roasted Mediterranean vegetables.
A popular dish is the pollo alla pepe – breast of chicken with black pepper, brandy, fresh cream and a glossy demi-glace sauce.
The choice of desserts includes a rich Italian chocolate pot; vanilla panna cotta with fresh winter berries and Italian ice cream.
There are supplements for specials like the mixed antipasto, the sea bass and the fillet steak.

The Big Deal is for 1 person to have starter, main course and dessert from the Italian Spring menu. Offer includes Prosecco cocktail, which can be exchanged for a mini Baileys or tea/coffee, to be served with the desserts.
Vouchers are valid from 09.04.16 until 18.06.16.
Available at the following times:
12:00 – 13:30 & 19:00 – 20:30 Monday to Thursday;
12:00 – 13.30 Friday;
12:00 – 15:30 Saturday;
17:00 – 20:00 Sunday.
Important Information

Advance booking required, a minimum of 24 hours prior to arrival, via 5pm Online Redemption – any other telephone or online bookings will not be accepted and will be charged full price.
Lunch tables required back by 14:30 and dinner tables back by 22:00 – restaurant closes at 14:30 for lunch and 22:00 for dinner.
Multiple vouchers may be purchased. Max 10 vouchers may be used per table.
24hr cancellation policy applies. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in voucher being invalidated.
All final bills are subject to 10% service charge but there is no cover or music charge.
