There are two ways to approach Sunday and these can be summarised as:
Boohoohoo! It’s the end of the weekend.
Three cheers for Sunday. The weekend isn’t over yet!
Today’s cheery Big Deal with the Parklands Hotel in Perth falls firmly in the latter camp.
As well as a tremendous Sunday lunch, it includes a bottle of wine in your room on arrival; an overnight stay and a full Scottish breakfast in the morning – it’s exactly the sort of offer which puts the sun into Sunday.
A gorgeous four star hotel in Perth, the Parklands Hotel just can’t stop winning awards. Executive Chef Graeme Pallister recently won the Chef of the Year Award at the CIS Excellence Awards.
It joins his 2 AA Rosettes as well as awards for Bistro of the Year; Perth Hotel of the Year and Boutique Hotel of the Year. And we’re just scratching the surface. Their TripAdvisor ratings are just as juicy.
If you want to see why The Parklands Hotel needs a trophy cabinet the size of Belgium then today’s Big Deal with the Perth hotel is a great introduction.
Your super Sunday starts on arrival with a bottle of house wine waiting for you.
Parklands Hotel has fifteen individually styled rooms. All of the bedrooms are spacious and have en-suite facilities, cable television, DVDs and iPod docks, hair dryer plus tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms are also equipped with WiFi.
Guests can upgrade to a king bedded room for an extra £20 a night or, for £30, a superior room with views over the garden and park. All supplements are payable directly to hotel.
Executive Chef Graeme Pallister is a talented man with a passion for local Scottish produce and especially that of Perthshire – the hotel’s Perthshire breakfast shows to just how good the area’s artisan food producers really are.
As well as a full Perthshire breakfast on Monday morning, guests will enjoy a two course lunch from the Sunday Lunch Market Menu in No.1 the Bank Bistro. Overlooking the gardens, it’s a tranquil spot for lunch and, if the weather is obliging, diners may be able to eat al fresco on the terrace.
The Parklands Hotel has plenty of admirers and well wishers on TripAdvisor. This recent review left by a happy guest is typical:
‘What a lovely hotel. Very friendly and attentive staff, great service and such fantastic food. We ate in the Bistro for one night of our stay and it was fantastic. Breakfasts were so good too, lots of choice and great quality. Cannot fault at all. We booked the City of Perth room with the Jacuzzi bath, so enjoyed! Hotel is within easy walking distance to the centre of Perth. We will certainly be back!’
