Our invitation to the Queen’s garden party at Holyrood has obviously been snaffled by the postie.

Again.

Oh, well. We’ll just have our own summer’s knees-up with today’s Big Deal on Prosecco, pizza and more at Bread + Butter.

City centre hangout

Tucked away on McCormick Lane, off Buchanan Street, Bread + Butter is a hip city centre hangout.

As well as showing all the big matches on multiple plasma screens, the bar attracts people who want a chat, a bite to eat and a couple of drinks after work.

DJs turn the buzz up at the weekends and the bar is a good place to pick-up club passes.

In addition to the outside seating area, the bar has a terrace on Buchanan Street – ideal for watching the world go by.

Pizza & Prosecco

Available 3pm to 8pm, seven days a week, this offer is for eight people to share a selection of great drinks along with pizza and snacks to graze on.

As well as two chilled bottles of Prosecco, the offer includes two bottles of house wine and two jugs of cocktails. We particularly recommend the Umbongo.

You won’t be peckish. The offer also includes three pizzas; four portions of chips; one portion of veg pakora and one portion of cheesy jalapeno ciabatta dough balls.

Thin and crispy, the 12 inch pizzas are topped with Bread + Butter’s own sugo and 100% mozzarella.

There are ten different, tasty varieties to choose from and they range from a classic Margherita to the Julius Cheeser – topped with buffalo mozzarella, Parmesan, goat’s cheese and cheddar.

This offer would be great for an after work catch-up with friends; an end-of-shopping-spree refresher or a bite before going to see a film or a gig.

It could also be the start of a big night out… nibbles and a couple of cocktails at Bread + Butter and then see where the night takes you.
