In Gaelic, Loch Fyne means Loch of Wine. A sweepingly romantic body of water, it certainly stands out as one of Scotland’s vintage lochs.
Drink deeply of the area’s natural beauty with today’s Big Deal on an overnight dinner, bed and breakfast break at the ever popular Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa in Argyll.
The Big Deal is for two people to enjoy an overnight stay, Sunday to Thursday, in a standard double or twin room at Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa. Full use of the leisure facilities is part of the offer.
Guests will enjoy a six course taster menu for dinner and a full Scottish breakfast the next morning – ideal preparation for a day exploring the spectacular Argyll countryside or simply enjoying the hotel’s beautiful location on the banks of Loch Fyne.
All the rooms are en-suite, decorated in warm, natural shades and fitted with high quality fittings and furnishings including coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and trouser press. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
Locally produced ingredients are shown at their best by the skilled team in the kitchen. The six course taster menu changes regularly but typical sample dishes might be a taster of smoked duck and berry compote followed by pressed belly of pork, apple jelly and walnut salad and then a baked whole trout, served with braised fennel and caper cream.
The food is complemented by an extensive wine list; many malt whiskies and a great selection of brews from Loch Fyne Ales.
The hotel’s spa features comprehensive leisure facilities including an indoor heated pool, steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi and the much loved outdoor Canadian hot tub. For an additional charge, spa therapies and beauty treatments are available in the Sonas Spa. Advance booking is required for spa treatments.

The Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa has plenty of friends on TripAdvisor. This is what a recent guest had to say:
‘Great place to unwind for a few days. Lovely hotel with great views. Friendly attentive staff.
Comfy, cozy rooms with WiFi and all mod cons. Lovely restaurant with excellent food and great service. Breakfasts had a great selection of hot and cold plates (the Finnan haddie was superb). Evening meal was a six course delight including smoked trout pate and pheasant one night and venison the next. Spent a very relaxing hour sitting by a roaring log fire. Highly recommended’
