What’s the best way to see the islands of Mull and Kerrera?
Some say by yacht; others reckon by plane. If you want our opinion, they are best viewed from the hot tub on the sun lounge at the Oban Bay Hotel & Spa.
Take up today’s Big Deal with the Oban Bay Hotel & Spa and you’ll be able to enjoy fine views of some of Scotland’s most dramatic scenery while steaming gently in the hot waters of the hot tub.
This atmospheric hotel on the picturesque esplanade is the perfect spot from which to explore Oban – the Gateway to the Islands.
The offer is for an overnight stay in standard double or twin in the Oban Bay Hotel & Spa with a full Scottish breakfast in the morning and a three course table d’hote dinner.
Some enjoying sea views, rooms feature a private bathroom, hairdryer, TV and hot drinks facilities along with complimentary WiFi.
Fresh & local seafood
The hotel’s Rannachan Restaurant specialises in fresh, local seafood and organic produce, all served with a smile. They source their fish from Willie Fish whose family-run shop is well known locally for supplying maritime marvels fresh off the boat.
Outdoor hot tub
As well as an out door hot tub with one of the best views in the world, the hotel has a mini-spa which offers treatments such as aromatherapy, reflexology and massage. Use of the sauna and steam room is included in the deal.
Alternatively, you could just chill in the spacious sun lounge and gaze at Mull, Kerrera and the Firth of Lorne.
Stretch your legs
If you want to stretch your legs then there is plenty to do in Oban. You could visit Oban Distillery, walk to McCaig’s Tower or stroll up Pulpit Hill for a superb view out over the town. Ganavan Sands are not far away and there are loads of opportunities nearby for golf, walking or boat trips.
Previous visitors have written glowingly of their stay at the Oban Bay Hotel & Spa. This is what one recent TripAdvisor reviewer had to say:
‘Fabulous short break. Just back from a short break at the Oban Bay Hotel & Spa and it was just wonderful. The hotel is so comfortable. The bedrooms are nothing exciting but are well furnished and clean but the public areas are great – lovely big airy dining room, warm and welcoming bar and a brilliant sun room where you can sit with a drink and watch the sun go down over Oban bay. Staff were ultra helpful, friendly and efficient and the food was great – huge breakfast selection including French toast with bacon and maple syrup which was a self indulgent treat.’
