Ah Monday! Who doesn’t like the start of the working week? Another five days in the joyful company of your delightful colleagues and understanding boss.
Give yourself a treat to look forward to with today’s Big Deal on an overnight stay at the four star Gleddoch House Hotel in Renfrewshire.
It’s around a twenty minute drive from Glasgow but is so peaceful that it feels a million miles from everyday hassles.
Championship golf course
Formerly the home of a shipping baron, the Gleddoch House Hotel sits within 360 acres of grounds with spectacular vistas over the River Clyde, Ben Lomond and the rolling Renfrewshire hills.
It has 70 magnificent en-suite bedrooms which are all elegantly furnished and individually designed. Most rooms also offer views across the surrounding estate and the 6,350 yard, 18 hole Championship golf course (green fees applicable).
A delicious three course dinner is included in the Big Deal. The hotel’s top kitchen team aim to make the most of Scotland’s superb natural larder and, as far as is practical, source their ingredients from local suppliers.
As well as a fine selection of wines, the Restaurant offers fantastic vistas over the golf course and the Clyde estuary.
A full Scottish or continental breakfast will get your day off to a bright start the next morning.
Relax in spa
A great place to relax and unwind, the hotel’s leisure club features an indoor heated swimming pool, gym, sauna and steam room which are open to all guests. Revitalising health and beauty treatments are available, at extra charge, in the Inspired Spa.
Many previous visitors have written glowing reviews of their stays on TripAdvisor. This is what a couple of recent reviewers had to say. We’ve edited them for length but not meaning.
‘Excellent spa break. We visited the hotel for a girls’ spa break, the gym and spa facilities were very good and very relaxing, we enjoyed using the gym, indoor heated pool, steam and sauna facilities, staff were very helpful and friendly.
We had a few treatments at the Elemis Spa, they were fantastic! Would highly recommend the spa wrap, scrub and facial treatments! Paula and the team provided an excellent service, we didn’t want to leave!
Our room was spacious, and had all of the amenities we needed. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and relaxed in the lounge bar. Location and views are splendid!’

‘Most amazing views. It was dead easy to find with direction signs starting the moment you turn off the A8/M8.
The entrance is rather grand; with its dark wood & rich colour scheme, with really friendly reception staff.
I drove around the side of the hotel to my room which was a decent size & had a lovely view over the river & beyond.
Great wi-fi, great breakfast cooked to order, fab dinner with a restaurant & bar menu available & amazing service right across the board.
It was always dark when I ate there but I’m sure the view from the dining room is simply stunning based on the floor to ceiling windows & its great hill side location.
Gym was a medium sized room but had the right kit & the pool was above average with a sauna & steam room – changing rooms were a bit cramped, but overall very good.
For the price I paid this hotel was amazing.’
