Located on West Nile Street, Vroni’s wine bar in Glasgow is named after a mountain top ski bar in the Austrian Alps.
Unless the summer weather is unusually bad, there isn’t much après-ski action around Vroni’s city centre address.
However, the much loved wine bar is perfect for unwinding après-work, après-shopping and indeed après-any other excuse you can think of.
Glasgow’s best known wine bar
Now sailing gracefully towards two decades in business, Vroni’s is Glasgow’s best known wine bar and is famous for its friendly atmosphere and great selection of wines and Champagnes.
Perfect for lunch, an after work chat or perhaps a reviving break during a shopping trip, today’s Big Deal is a great way to see why Vroni’s has remained so popular over the years.
Choice of platters
There are two options for today’s offer. Option one is for two people enjoy a sharing platter from Vroni’s lunch menu. There are three brilliant platters to choose from:
Antipasto: popular combination of Italian cured meats, creamy buffalo mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, marinated olives, tasty balsamic and olive oil dip, crusty Italian bread and focaccia bread.
Moroccan: a brilliant selection of couscous, hummus, tzatziki, roasted Mediterranean vegetables, roasted peppers, sun-blushed tomatoes, mixed olives with warmed flat breads.
Cheese platter: a great selection of market cheeses with crusty breads, chutney, sliced apple and farmhouse oatcakes.
Option two is for two people to each enjoy a dish from the mains section of Vroni’s lunch menu.
Will it be the creamy macaroni cheese served with garlic bread? The 8oz beef burger topped with cheese, red onion, tomato and served on a seeded bun with potato wedges? Or perhaps the chicken burger or the chilli pot?
The choice is yours.
Catch-up with friends
With its cosy ambience, wood panelling and candle light, the city centre wine bar has long been a popular spot for a bite to a eat, a glass of something cheeky and a chat.
This offer would be ideal for a catch-up with a friend; an after work gossip or simply a break during a marathon shopping trip.
Over the years, Vroni’s has built up a loyal following of happy customers and it continues to attract new fans. Writing on Vroni’s 5pm Restaurant entry, a recent guest rated it 5/5 and called it a ‘great place with great food’.
