If you are fan of Kirstie and Phil’s Relocation, Relocation TV show then you may have already seen The Royal an Lochan in Tighnabruaich.
The beautiful Argyll hotel featured in K and P’s program last year. If you missed the show then you can watch it on catch-up or, better still, experience the real thing with today’s Big Deal.
This cracking Big Deal is for two people to enjoy an overnight bed and breakfast stay, Sunday to Thursday, in a stunning Sea View room. Also included are tea, coffee and cake served in the afternoon.
Option 2 is for two people to enjoy a two night B&B stay at the hotel in a Sea View room with afternoon coffee and cake on the day of arrival. The option to stay for 2 nights is available seven days a week.
If you choose to take lunch or dinner in the hotel then you can enjoy a complimentary bottle of house wine to share if the bill comes to more than £50.
Situated in the serene heart of Argyll and Bute, the Royal an Lochan offers the lapping of the waves, stunning scenery, warming fires, excellent cuisine, good wines and malts, and unrivalled service. All eleven of the luxurious, individually decorated bedrooms are ensuite and, with today’s big Deal, you will enjoy a breath-taking sea view from your room.
If you choose to take lunch or dinner in the hotel then you are in for a gourmet treat, not to mention mouth-watering views: the dining areas look out on to the Kyles of Bute. Locally sourced Scottish produce, such as Tarbert-landed langoustines, form the backbone of the regularly changing menus at the Royal an Lochan.
As we said above, spend over £50 on a meal and the hotel will give you a complimentary bottle of house wine to share.
The tranquil Argyll countryside surrounding the hotel offers some off the best scenery on the West Coast of Scotland as well as fantastic bird-watching opportunities. The hills above Tighnabruaich boast three well stocked trout lochs and, if you are feeling energetic, the nine-hole golf course nearby has possibly the best views in the world.
The less energetic may prefer to relax with a malt and a book in the hotel’s atmospheric Shinty Bar.
The Royal an Lochan has built an enthusiastic fanbase since Kirstie and Phil swung by. Here’s what a couple of recent guests had to say on TripAdvisor:
‘Just back from a 2 night half board break booked via 5pm.co.uk. We were really impressed from start to finish. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere with excellent service, food etc. Neither my wife or I had been to this corner of the country but given it was less than 2 hours from Glasgow we hope to return soon!’
‘Stayed one night at this lovely hotel. Wish we could have extended our trip. Lovely room and views, delicious food and attentive staff. We also enjoyed the lively Shinty Bar. The owners Keith and Christine couldn’t have been more welcoming. Will certainly return.’
